Almond Bear Claws/$2.25
Although not always available--they sell out quickly on Thursdays, these buttery bites of almond paste are worth the wait. Buy two or three and put them in the freezer ~ though they won't last long.
We serve carrot raisin bran, sour cream pecan, and blueberry.
As featured in TIME magazine, our Blackberry scones are the best in the land. We make them fresh and serve on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The Lemon/Craisen Scone, Lemon Blueberry, or new addition Cherry Almond are also avaliable on a rotating basis. It will be a tough choice or you could just order a batch of each for yourself. We can make lots other flavors as well.
Rhubarb Brunch Cake/$2.25
People often say, "Oh, no. I don't like Rhubarb." The rich vanilla sauce makes this Rhubarb Cake....nothing to do with Rhubarb. Served daily ~ until it sells out!
Lemon Poppyseed Muffin/$2.25
Oversized in both taste and size, this will delight you with the little tart lemon taste that keeps the poppyseed muffin moist. The lemon glaze dripping down the side also helps make this one a keeper. Usually served on Wednesdays, you can order for your special day anytime.
House Made Granola Parfait/$3.50
Layers of yogurt and berries with a squeeze of agave! Gotcha! and I haven't even mentioned the granola that is made in house with wheat germ, oatmeal, pecans, walnuts, almonds, and dried fruit. We bake it with a topping of butter, maple syrup, honey, and some squeezes of orange juice and a hint of almond flavoring. Your morning has never looked (or felt) so good.
Meat Quiche or Vegetable Frittata ~ $5.60
Our Meat Quiche is the whole hog: sausage, ham and bacon. It is crustless, and has cottage cheese in it, so it great with low carb diets, or if you are just practicing moderation. The Vegetable Frittata is mixture of farm fresh (buy fresh and local) veggies. Usually sweet potatoes, yellow summer squash, zucchini, spinach and rosemary potatoes are in the mix. It is also crustless as well as gluten free. Feel free to chow down! Served with your pastry choice or fresh fruit.
Fresh Fruit or Frozen Fruit Cup available a la carte for $1.25

Tasting this will be the beginning of a wonderful relationship. In addition to the black olives, pimentos, celery, and pineapple, the Chicken Salad has a dressing with a hint of lemon juice, dill weed and Durkees sandwich spread that makes it a "keeper". Once you taste it, you will never want to go back. Don't worry we always have it on hand.
Ham, Turkey Or Roast Beef ~
Yes, we merely slice the Turkey and Ham, however the Roast Beef is seasoned with Lawry's Seasoning salt and a hefty dose of Kosher Salt and Garlic Pepper and slow roasted for 3 or 4 hours. Every tender slice of Roast Beef is to die for ~ and actually the cow did!
Veggie Sandwich with Pesto Mayonnaise
Our Veggie sandwich is made with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms, radishes, sno peas, and carrots. The Pesto (we make each summer out of a couple of bushels of Basil) mayonnaise is addictive so beware. The beauty is we make the sandwich once you order it, so we can add or delete any vegetables you want. Ahhh, small time bakery/cafe catering to individuals.
Tuna ~ I know~ not necessarily exciting unless it is made with the secret Honey Mustard sauce that we make in house. Then it is a sell out and not just during Lent! Check it out.
I hope you have been taking advantage of the Restaurant Week promotions at the participating restaurants in Burlington. It started last Wednesday and will be going strong all this week. Take a look at the SPECIALS being offered with specialty pricing through September 22. The IVY is serving our phenomenal MUFFALETTA. And yes, we are serving it all HOT AND GOOEY ! If you follow us on facebook, you probably saw the picture of the Creme Brulee Cheesecake we are featuring as well. This week is your chance to eat yummily! (if that is not a word, it should be!) The soup this week is the VEGETABLE CORN CHOWDER, featuring some of the last summer corn off the cob in our stockpile. It is perhaps the last taste of summer. Surely fall is just around the corner. Also available is the CHICKEN NOODLE every day, and CHICKEN TORTILLA on Wednesday and Friday.
TOMATO. BASIL. PIE. Might be here a couple more weeks, but you better get in and enjoy before it is gone. Want it on a certain day? Just call and let us know and we will save you a piece on the day that works for you. When the tomatoes are no longer local, the pie is gone until next year.
I have also failed to mention that to cool off or just for something refreshing, give our ITALIAN SODAS a try. Out Front Dawn has a special recipe from Portland that makes the most refreshing Italian Sodas. Our flavors include Strawberry, Salted Caramel and Raspberry.
THE COLLECTIVE. Have you walked by 805 Jefferson to peek inside. Stargazer Bakery is working in there and Triple Creek has their grow wall growing in the front window. We have had lots of interest by vendors for making their specialties. This is going to be such a fun adventure. Check out The Collective on Facebook. Start thinking about ways you might want to rent our kitchen for an hour or a few, one day or on a regular basis. Holidays coming and want to have the mess out of your kitchen? The Collective is available. Look forward to some made ahead meals for purchase, cooking classes, bakery goodies and savory dishes. It is coming soon. Watch FACEBOOK for updates ~ soft opening by a couple of vendors in the near future. Open to the public in early October.

Our answer to Americanized Mexican food ~ and it's really, really good with a creamy filling of potatoes, green peppers and onions, and lots of chicken. How does one describe a perfect deviled egg? Start with a fresh egg from Dean's Produce that is days old as opposed to 3-4 week shelf egg from your local grocery store. That is the difference in our deviled eggs. With that fresh egg, we add a little seasoning, mayo and blend til smooth. It is all about the EGG!

How do you describe something that is so simple yet so delicious? You take a simple baked pie crust, add fresh tomatoes and basil, a little garlic pepper and salt, and then top it with a mixture of cheeses and a little mayo and bake till golden brown.
